My best friend Moose inspired me to become an animal chiropractor.

I wanted to be able to provide him all the benefits of chiropractic care

to help him stay as healthy and active as possible for many years to come.

He deserves every opportunity to live his best life.

After adopting Moose, we rescued Copper, a nine-month-old Catahoula hound. He came to us with a clean bill of health, yet a few weeks after his homecoming he started to exhibit signs of pain and dysfunction.  Despite several trips to the vet and extensive diagnostic testing, we couldn't find anything wrong.  His condition rapidly worsened and we were told all we could do was wait and see if any of the many medications he was prescribed would start to work against his mystery disease.

He was in too much pain to move or be touched, and I knew he couldn't wait.  Instead, I scheduled him with a veterinary neurologist who ordered an MRI, and within one week he was having curative surgery to remove the benign bony tumor that was severely compressing his spinal cord.

Today, Copper is a happy and healthy dog with a second chance at life.  Without my background in chiropractic, I wouldn't have known to go beyond traditional veterinary care. Coordinated care with providers of different specialties is the reason we were able to get Copper the appropriate treatment at the right time. With the help of underwater treadmill therapy, acupuncture treatments, and chiropractic adjustments, his recovery has been greater than anticipated.  In just one year he has gone from excruciating pain and paralysis, to pain-free and able to jump over logs.

His recovery is a true testament to an animals ability to heal when given the opportunity.
